about us business description company history direct sales Adwest Engineering Ltd (AEL) is a private limited company specialising in the design and manufacture of manual and power assist steering gears and is a supplier to the European OEM automotive industry. Conducting our own research and development, we at AEL are able to offer our customers tailor-made designs from within our product range to suit individual engineering requirements. Our principal customers are Land Rover (Ford group) and Bentley Motors (VW) Group, although other vehicle manufacturers are also supplied both in the U.K. and in Europe. Var-a-matic Steering Gear We have a well-motivated workforce, together with state-of-the-art design and production facilities based at Woodley, near Reading in the U.K. AEL is a QS9000 accredited company.
